Remembering Christina Grimmie

At the young age of 15, Christina Grimmie posted her first video on YouTube in 2009 singing a cover of Hannah Montana’s Don’t Wanna Be Torn

A year later, she did a cover with a fellow YouTuber, Sam Tsui, that blew up with over 100 million views

Christina continued to post videos on her YouTube channel and eventually grew to become the 4th most subscribed musician on YouTube. In 2010, Brian Teefey (stepfather of Selena Gomez) found her videos, arranged a meeting with the young artist, and became her manager while Selena acted as her mentor

Fast forward four years to when Christina blew us away with her audition for The Voice

Following The Voice, Christina had many offers, but chose to sign with Island Records. Her first single with the label was ‘Must Be Love’

3 singles, 2 years, and 1 album later, Christina performed with Before You Exit at The Plaza Live in Orlando. After her performance, she went to sign autographs, but in the process she was fatally shot three times by Kevin James Loibl. Here is her last performance before the tragedy

Christina Grimmie was a talented, beautiful, young artist whose life was taken from her entirely too soon. She will be missed by many. RIP Christina Grimmie.
