Harrison Ford is being investigated and could have his pilot’s license suspended by the FAA after flying his single-engine Aviat Husky jet over a Boeing 737 passenger plane on Monday. The actor mistook a taxiway at John Wayne Airport in Santa Ana, California for a landing runway, and just missed hitting an American Airlines flight taking off for Dallas. Ford was instructed to land on Runway 20L but accidentally directed his vintage jet to where the commercial plane was about to take flight.

After Ford asked traffic controllers whether the American Airlines plane was “meant to be underneath” him, the actor was informed that he landed in the wrong area, which is a FAA safety violation. As a result, the incident is being investigated by the FAA, and we’re told Ford’s pilot’s license could be suspended.

This is not the first scary flying incident for Ford, an experienced pilot. In March 2015, Ford crashed a plane into a golf course after the vintage jet lost its engine power in Santa Monica, California. Because of his expert flying skills, Ford was able to avoid crashing into nearby housing. Shortly after the crash, the actor was transported to a local hospital, where he underwent surgery for a broken pelvis and ankle. He also sustained injuries to his head. And before that incident, Ford had crashed a helicopter in 1999 when flying over Lake Piru in California.
