Will There Be a Vine 2?

Vine, the app consisting of 6 second video loops, has been gone for many years now. Popular vines continue to loop on Twitter and make people laugh every day. For instance, if you search “funny vines” on YouTube, some titles of compilation videos are: “Vines I Quote Everyday” or “Vines that cared for me when no one else did.” All these videos with over millions of streams and retweets.

So yeah, Vine is pretty serious.

But why did they delete the app? Twitter owned Vine, and Twitter was running out of money. Plus, Vine couldn’t compete with Instagram.

So, one day, Vine’s creator, Dom Hoffman, announced a Vine 2 would be coming out in the near future.

BUT ITS BEEN A YEAR SINCE THAT ANNOUNCEMENT, AND STILL NO VINE 2.

Dom stated that the project was personal and self-funded, so it would be put off for an indefinite amount of time…

Many people have expressed sadness towards an unknown date for Vine 2, and want to donate money for the re-boot. Vine stars that became more famous also want in on this donation.

And on the other hand, people around the world want Vine 2 to reboot so they can have their own chance at stardom.

Fortunately for now, we can all still replay our favorite vines over and over and keep looking up ones we’ve never seen till the next Vine comes.
