The comic shared that she was on the fence about continuing her daytime slot, being one of the most successful talk show hosts in America. In an interview with The New York Times, DeGeneres explained that she goes back and forth from her brother and her wife, Portia De Rossi, when it comes to advice on the matter. While her brother encourages her to keep her day job because of how much positivity she spreads through it, Portia sees continuing the show as stunting her creativity. \”I don\’t see the end of her show as her career ending,\” Portia stated, saying that her wife is too much of an amazing actress and comedian to not have other opportunities.
